In the non-dual approach, God, prayer and devotion are not often mentioned. For many people in our contemporary, secular society, the very idea of God is considered irrelevant. However, in the non-dual tradition, the two paths of knowledge and devotion come together and indeed reach their culmination. In the meditations over this forthcoming weekend, we will be exploring, not philosophically but in our actual experience, what is meant by God, prayer and devotion, and how these stand at the heart of the non-dual tradition. We will find that devotion is as relevant for contemporary society as it was at any other time in history.

There will be no Q&A sessions during this weekend, to allow a deepening of the understanding through the meditations themselves. The retreat starts with one meditation on Friday 29th January and there will be two meditation sessions, with a break in between, on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st January. Details of the schedule are below.

All you need to participate is a computer or a mobile device, such as a tablet or smartphone, with a built-in speaker and access to the internet. The platform we use for the sessions is Zoom. Francesca will walk you through the sign-in process, which is very simple, and he will email you with the invitation to join ahead of the webinar. Participants also receive a link to stream the recording of each session, and these will remain active for four weeks. 

To optimize your retreat experience, we recommend a wired connection if possible. If you do use a Wi-Fi connection, close all or most other devices using the signal. For mobile devices, a 3G or 4G connection is needed.

Tickets are available based on a sliding scale, with the intention of making the teaching available to as many people as wish to know of it:

£32.50 – Supported (on application): for those who would like to attend but are unable to do so for financial reasons*

£65.00 – Standard: for those with sufficient financial resources to attend at a fair price

£130.00 – Sponsor: for those with adequate financial resources and a desire to support attendance for others

Tickets include access to all of the daily meetings. Links to the streamable recordings will be posted on the discussion board after each meeting and will be available for four weeks.

Everyone who registers for this event will automatically be added to a Discussion Board, which will put them in direct contact with all other attendees, enabling them to be in touch with one another, individually or as a group, exchange information or simply for social purposes. Please note that the Discussion Board is not to be used for promotional purposes.

The Discussion Board will also be used by the group organiser to contact the whole group in the run up to the event with important information and to share the links to recordings during the retreat. If you have technical issues during the meetings please contact the organiser directly using the chat function on the platform.
